Lodock Gear has tested the LaserLuchs 5000 in the field and has found the beam produced by this unit to be superior to other LED based illuminators on the market. The Led and lens combination in this unit gives good uniformity and edge sharpness all the way to the spot function. As focus is increased the beam becomes square but still uniform and a solid beam.
Comparative units we have tested produce an unusable striping effect at this point.
